TAMPOCID SL is used for dyeing and printing in place of acetic acid.
The product can be added directly or as a 10% solution to dye baths, printing pastes, paddling baths where slow and progressive acidity is required.
While the acetic acid has a boiling point around 112 °, TAMPOCID SL has a much higher boiling point so that, at high temperatures, it does not distil in steam current (unlike the acetic) and therefore gives an effect of acidity more stable. It has a 20% higher yield compared to the Glacial Acetic Acid.
Due to the low volatility, the TAMPOCID SL in respect of acetic acid offers advantages in the processing processes for which, in open equipment, the pH must be kept constantly in an acid environment, such as in the dyes of wool, fibers polyamide, polyacrynitrile, polyester.
